After all, piloting Juggernauts is apparently so easy 10-year-olds can do it. They really should be able to defend themselves. They have actual adults, a number of which have spent years in the military. The Republic's population vastly outnumbers the 86. I also don't really like just how contrived the whole situation is overall. Why is the show trying to make me hyped for that? It's an incredibly tragic situation all around, so why does the show portray Lena's order as the most badass thing imaginable? Like, was it really necessary to accompany the overly-dramatic direction with the most obnoxiously heroic Sawano music possible? If Lena's plan succeeds, the end result will be children sacrificing themselves in droves to save a country that committed some of the worst crimes against humanity towards them. We've already seen what a full-scale legion attack can do to experienced soldiers and now Lena's sending a bunch of kids to suffer the same fate. I really don't think Lena ordering thousands of kids to their deaths is as awesome as this show thinks it is.
